What To Expect on Sunday
Our Sunday services are the high point of the weekly rhythm and routine of life at Tabernacle. During these services, you can expect to sing hymns and songs of praise; pray corporately for our church, our town, our missions, and our world; hear the Word of God publicly read; and hear the proclamation of the Gospel during our sermons.

What To Expect on Wednesday
At Tabernacle we do something unique for our Wednesday evening service; Pastor Tim leads an interactive, in-depth Bible study covering the passage of Scripture he will be preaching on in the upcoming service.
This Sermon Preparation Bible Study seeks to cover the historical and theological contexts of the passage so that the Sunday proclamation can be as effective and understood as possible. All are welcome and questions are encouraged.
Youth classes are offered simultaneously.

Worship DISTINCTIVES
There are specific things God requires when His people gather together for corporate worship. At Tabernacle, we seek to be faithful to what God has said in Scripture in the following aspects of our services:
Proclamation of the Gospel
PREACHING: God reveals Himself by the proclamation of His word through the illumination of the Holy Spirit who applies the Word and work of Christ to our hearts.
Interspersed throughout the calendar year of regular expository, verse-by-verse, preaching we have three months of thematic sermons focused on Easter, Christmas, and October.

Corporate Praise
CORPORATE PRAISE: The entire service is one of worship. Singing is the most common form of corporate expressions of worship, but we also regularly include recitations of the creeds of the faith, corporate prayers, and Bible reading. Tabernacle enjoys both contemporary songs alongside traditional hymns. Following the witness of the New Testament, we practice the reality that the service should not prioritize singing at the expense of proclamation of the Word but rather seek to have a healthy balance of both.
Scripture
READING: The Word of God is the manner by which the Christian is exhorted, encouraged, disciplined, humbled, rebuked, and restored. Appropriate devotion to the reading of the Word should be given in the service so that the congregation grow to revere the actual words of God and anticipate the interpretation in the sermon by learning to listen to the Word. Typically, our evening service will correspond to the sermon text from the morning by considering the same theme from the opposite Testament.
Prayer
PRAYER: Tabernacle enjoys praying publicly in church to model to the congregation how we ought to pray. Our services begin with a prayer of praise and worship in response to the call to worship. We frequently confess together which aids everyone in humbly coming before the Lord in repentance before rejoicing in a reminder of the Gospel. Our weekly Pastoral Prayer brings members in the congregation, a ministry of the congregation, leaders of the congregation, leaders in our nation (from all political sides), nations around the world, and a missionary supported by the congregation before the Lord.
